Medrex can digitise
your hard copy x-ray archive to CD-ROM in DICOM 3
format using our ScanQuick
Film and Paper Digitisers.
Each CD will contain up to 800 x-ray
films together with the associated patient data.
The paper reports can also be included
if required.
A separate database to all patients
included in the digital archive is also provided as
part of this service.
Most hospitals using the digital
archive, have installed our ConsultQuick Workstation.
This enables authorised staff to retrieve and view
the x-ray images from the CDs as and when required.
The ConsultQuick has a high resolution
diagnostic monitor and is supplied with DICOM and
Patient Database software ready installed. The Patient
Database is updated each time more CDs are added to
the archive.
If connected to the Radiology Department
network the ConsultQuick can also be used as a diagnostic
workstation for images generated from other DICOM
modalities and print via existing laser printers.
At Limerick Regional Hospital the
images are being loaded to their PACS from the CDs.
The CDs are then retained by the Hospital as back
up for disaster recovery.
